Located in Camp Wood, Texas across from Lindbergh Park. This historic home is situated one block off Hill Country Touring Route Hwy 55. Sometimes called the "Three Sisters" this famous Riding Loop takes you across the mountains on Hwys 335, 336 and 337 through Leakey. These roads take you past three beautiful clear cold mountain rivers. The Medina, Rio Frio, and the Nueces. Renovations are now complete. Our first available dates for rental start August 1st 2009.
This is a great home base for Hill Country Riding, Bandera Rallies, Gypsy Massacre, St Patrick's Day Run and many more. The big back yard includes a RV hookup for your friend's Toy Hauler.
Ride 60 miles south and you are in Mexico or on the road to Big Bend Country. 80 miles East and San Antonio's River Walk is ready to enjoy.
If you want a break from riding then tube down the Nueces or find that nice swimming hole to chill down in.
After a day of adventure take an afternoon stroll one block to downtown Camp Wood where you can sit on the corner benches and watch other riders pass through town or eat and shop with the locals and other visitors.
There is great Swimming for all ages at the Dam. Three minute drive from the house
Pulliam Creek just a five minute ride. Cold water, crystal clear water makes this a favorite of locals and repeat visitors.
Take a bicycle ride through town, down to the river or relax by a campfire in the back yard
